My Favorite T-shirts: Supermodel
I must admit, I can’t let this shirt go-I still wear it! It is rather faded and yes there are holes in it, but it serves as a reminder of purpose and desire. Now I want you to know, it’s confusing for some when I wear it. I entered a gas station recently and the attendant started laughing. You see, their first thought when meeting me in the shirt wasn’t “supermodel” in the traditional sense. (I’m sure it was a tough call on their part).
After the laughter settled down, I can say, I hope I can be a “super” model to kids and students as they grow to be adults who by trusting Jesus impact their world for good.
Leaders to kids and students are some of the most important people on the planet. Mentors are crucial to assist others in the path of a growing maturity.
I long to be a leader who, in living authentically before Jesus and those around me, will model a life of joy and obedience to the Lord. My hope is that others would see in me and receive from me honor, respect and delight for them and for God.
I love Lifeline-the student ministry of Ada Bible Church. They serve students well. The volunteer small group leaders really are SuperModels in my book!
PS Back in the day former Student Pastor Brady Nemmers and the Lifeline team went above and beyond their creative self when making this shirt!
